Supervision is a constructive, highly participatory, and reflective process. It focuses on enhancing the technical skills of the individuals being supervised. The ultimate aim is to cultivate clinical reasoning and the ability to select the most appropriate technical approaches for the specific clinical scenarios presented. This takes place within an environment of sharing real-world experiences, rather than relying solely on theoretical understanding.
By the conclusion of the supervision process, the aim is for supervisees to have gained greater autonomy and confidence. They should feel well-equipped to develop and put into practice therapeutic plans in their daily clinical work.
